Who you are

You have a solid background in backend engineering, particularly in developing software using a JVM. Your experience includes building and maintaining production systems that prioritize security and compliance, ensuring that customer interactions are both frictionless and innovative. You understand the importance of customer identity verification and proactive risk management, and you are eager to contribute to a project that enhances customer support infrastructure.

You are familiar with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and have experience with asynchronous messaging systems. Your technical skills allow you to manage individual project priorities effectively while collaborating with a diverse team. You stay updated with the latest trends in technology and are proactive in proposing new ideas during team sessions.

You thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote work with in-office collaboration. What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the discovery, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software within the Banking Foundations domain at N26. You will lead the re-architecture of the customer support infrastructure, replacing the current legacy platform with Amazon Connect. This involves building and managing the entire infrastructure for the chat system, ensuring a high-quality experience for both customers and support agents.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand the customer support journey and the underlying chat system. Your insights will be crucial in ensuring a successful migration and in enhancing the overall customer experience. You will also participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, contributing your expertise to help the team grow and succeed.

As part of your responsibilities, you will stay up to date with the latest trends in technology and propose innovative solutions during team brainstorming sessions. You will manage project priorities and deliverables, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Your role will be pivotal in enabling N26 to achieve sustainable growth while maintaining the highest levels of trust with customers and regulators.
