Relativity is seeking a Senior Supplier Development Engineer to enhance quality in the design and production processes for their Terran R rocket. You'll collaborate across teams to influence how products are built from the start. This role requires expertise in supplier development and quality assurance.
You have a strong background in supplier development and quality assurance, with a focus on embedding quality into every part of the design and production process. Your experience allows you to influence how products are built from the start, ensuring that quality is not just an afterthought but a fundamental aspect of the engineering process. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with design, manufacturing, test, and launch teams to ensure that every component meets the highest standards. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you enjoy tackling challenges that require innovative solutions. You understand the importance of autonomy and ownership in your work, and you are eager to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, cutting-edge industry.
Experience in aerospace or a related field is a plus, as is familiarity with rocket development processes. You may also have a background in engineering disciplines such as mechanical or electrical engineering, which would enhance your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. A proactive approach to identifying potential quality issues before they arise is essential, as is the ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance processes that align with the goals of the Terran R project. You will work closely with suppliers to ensure that materials and components meet the required specifications and standards. Your role will involve conducting audits and assessments of supplier capabilities, as well as collaborating with internal teams to address any quality concerns that may arise during the production process. You will also play a key role in developing training materials and programs to educate team members on quality standards and best practices. As part of the Quality team, you will influence design decisions by providing insights based on your supplier interactions and quality assessments. Your contributions will help shape the future of rocket development at Relativity, ensuring that the Terran R vehicle is built to the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Relativity offers a competitive salary range of $130,000 to $166,000 USD, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will be part of a dynamic team that values creativity and technical rigor, and you will have the chance to leave your mark on the product, process, and culture of the company. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe diverse teams build better products. Join us in pioneering progress that reaches beyond the known and be part of something truly impactful.
