Maintenance Technician II, Sterile Facilities

Who you are

You have experience in maintenance roles, particularly in sterile environments, and are skilled in troubleshooting and repairing various systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical. You understand the importance of preventive maintenance and are capable of applying predictive maintenance procedures effectively. You are comfortable working under general supervision and can communicate maintenance issues clearly to your supervisor. You are detail-oriented and take pride in ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Desirable

Experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting is a plus, as is familiarity with regulatory compliance related to maintenance in sterile facilities. You may also have certifications related to HVAC or electrical systems, which would enhance your qualifications for this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will report to the Sr. Facilities Manager and provide essential support to the Operations Engineering & Maintenance Department. Your primary responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on lab and facility equipment, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. You will analyze and troubleshoot maintenance problems, addressing issues in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, and HVAC systems. You will also document maintenance activities and communicate any concerns to your supervisor, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner.

You will be involved in both preventive and predictive maintenance, applying your knowledge to anticipate potential issues before they arise. This proactive approach will help maintain the integrity of the sterile environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. You will collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks based on operational needs.
