Job Description

As the Sr. Technical Program Manager in Workforce Solutions, you will lead cross-functional initiatives focused on planning, forecasting, and development optimization across Amazon. You will collaborate on and execute multi-year roadmaps impacting technology-enabled recruitment processes for Amazon. Key job responsibilities
As a successful candidate for the role, you will -
• Work with engineering, product management, operations, legal, etc. to deliver the PXT tech solutions globally
• Manage complex cross team programs from ideation to delivery
• Create transparency and predictability with roadmaps, planning, and partner management
• Manage delivery schedules and emergent tasks while mitigating risks, managing tradeoffs, and eliminating blockers
• Participate in architectural decisions, surfacing and mitigating technical risks, driving complex integrations with internal and 3rd party solutions, retiring technical debt, and identifying opportunity to create operational efficiencies
• Set and embody the team culture and standards consistent with Amazon’s leadership principals
• Drive alignment with leadership in recruiting and partner tech teams


• Have an understanding of customer needs and use that knowledge to advocate for, and drive delivery of, improvements that drive on time product delivery
• Have a complete understanding (inclusive of the strategic context) of internal and external variables that impact your business. This includes owning forecasting, analyzing, understanding, and reporting on the business

About the team
Workforce Solutions (WS) is a horizontal, multi-discipline organization whose mission is to build the best people-forward technology to enable corporate and hourly recruitment for Amazon, globally. We build the intelligent technology products Amazon uses to make the right hiring decisions, every time, while being more equitable and candidate-centric in the end-to-end experience. We accomplish this by using our ability in product and program management, and design/research. Our portfolio of products is global (built mostly on native AWS). From the candidate-facing job site, to ensuring the role is filled - we build the entire gamut. We value people-centric solutions, and open exchange of ideas. - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience using data to influence business decisions- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
