Amazon is hiring a KYC Compliance Officer to perform compliance assessments and manage financial crime risks. This role requires 3-4 years of experience in KYC and financial crime compliance functions.
You have 3-4 years of professional experience in KYC and financial crime compliance functions, ideally within a financial institution such as a bank. You understand the intricacies of KYC compliance assessments, including SDD, CDD, and EDD, and are adept at identifying compliance risks and applying risk mitigation standards effectively. Your analytical skills allow you to conduct thorough reviews of merchant accounts, ensuring that customer data and documents are current and accurately rated according to established policies and procedures. You are comfortable engaging with merchants to address KYC compliance inquiries and can conduct name screenings using various tools to identify PEPs and adverse media.
Experience in drafting standard operating procedures (SOP) and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance KYC compliance processes would be beneficial. Familiarity with compliance tools and methodologies will set you apart in this role.
In this role, you will perform KYC compliance assessments on merchant accounts, ensuring adherence to Amazon's compliance policies. You will identify financial crime compliance risks and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies. Conducting periodic reviews of existing merchant accounts will be a key responsibility, as will ensuring that all customer data is up to date. You will assess the compliance status and brand reputation of merchants to determine risk exposure and take necessary actions. Engaging with merchants to provide clear and prompt responses to compliance-related inquiries will be essential. You will also be responsible for providing status reports and analytical insights, serving as a knowledge center in the KYC compliance process. Your contributions will help shape the organization's KYC compliance posture and maintain high performance metrics.
