You have 5+ years of experience in product management, particularly in the payments sector, where you've successfully led product strategies and execution. Your background includes a strong understanding of payment platform integrations and the ability to drive reliable, scalable payment experiences. You are well-versed in financial reconciliation processes and have established frameworks for risk and compliance, ensuring that your teams remain audit-ready while minimizing exposure to fraud.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and operations. Your analytical mindset enables you to define payout and settlement standards while driving merchant-facing transparency. You understand the importance of aligning payment platform capabilities with restaurant POS needs, ensuring a seamless experience for users.

What you'll do

As the Director of Product (Payments) at Chowbus, you will lead the end-to-end payments strategy, focusing on platform partnerships and integrations that enhance the payment experience for our restaurant partners. You will define and implement payout and settlement standards, ensuring that our processes are transparent and efficient. Your role will involve collaborating with engineering teams to develop and optimize payment platform capabilities, aligning them with the needs of restaurant POS systems.

You will establish a robust risk and compliance framework, including PCI/EMV standards, to mitigate exposure and ensure audit readiness. Your leadership will empower teams to achieve accurate financial reconciliation, supporting timely closes and audits. You will drive measurable improvements in authorization rates, transparency, and unit economics, ultimately enhancing the overall payment experience for our users.

In this role, you will also be responsible for monitoring industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring that our payment strategies remain compliant and competitive. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to communicate updates and gather feedback, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and improvement.
