Job Description

Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a passionate and results-driven Sales Manager to join our growing team. This position will directly report to the General Sales Manager for Theatrical Sales Department at the studio. In this role, you will support the distribution and release strategy for our films across North American exhibitors. You will work closely with theatrical partners, internal stakeholders, and the broader distribution team to help optimize theatrical placement, execute release plans, and maximize box office revenue.
This role requires a strong understanding of theatrical exhibition, excellent communication skills, and a passion for movies. You will assist in the daily execution of theatrical sales operations, including film placement within US marketplace, in-theatre marketing support, accounts receivable and box office performance tracking.


Key job responsibilities
• Ownership and knowledge of assigned booking territory in the US marketplace.
• Assist with release goals, market analysis, and exhibitor outreach.
• Help develop regional booking strategies and maintain exhibitor relationships.
• Negotiate booking terms with exhibition partners. • Maximize box-office returns in assigned territory with strategic bookings and weekly holdovers
• Utilize distribution software (TDS and ComScore)
• Maintain a healthy A/R within territory.
• Experience in theatrical sales, distribution, or exhibition.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for film and the theatrical experience.
• Familiarity with box office trends, exhibitor operations, and key industry tools.
• Experience working directly with exhibitors or studio distribution teams.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and theatrical software (TDS, ComScore).
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $78,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
