Desirable

Experience in the automotive or reconditioning industry would be a plus, as would familiarity with production metrics and performance reviews. A background in training and developing employees is highly valued, as you will be responsible for guiding the growth of Reconditioning Leads and Managers.

What you'll do

In this role, you will oversee the postproduction process at Carvana's Inspection & Reconditioning Center, ensuring that production targets are consistently met. You will manage multiple reconditioning lines, planning production for full working shifts and ensuring that all operational standards are upheld. When the General Manager is not onsite, you will fully manage the facilities, focusing on meeting or exceeding targets in production, cost, and quality.

You will conduct weekly performance reviews with Senior Reconditioning leadership, reporting on site performance versus targets, challenges faced, and countermeasures implemented. Your role will involve guiding daily site manager huddles to establish priorities and set the tone for the day. You will also aid in executing Continuous Improvement projects, implementing and training process changes that enhance operational efficiency.

Fostering growth and development among your team will be a key responsibility. You will support Development Plans for Reconditioning Leads and Managers, providing regular competency-based feedback to help them succeed in their roles. Your leadership will embody Carvana's values, promoting effective teamwork and communication on the shop floor.
