Overview

Axon is seeking a Principal of Equity Compensation to manage the company's equity plans, including the eXponential Stock Plan (XSP). This role requires expertise in equity incentive plans and international tax implications.

Who you are

You have extensive experience in equity compensation, particularly with equity incentive plans such as stock options, RSUs, and PSUs. Your familiarity with international considerations and tax implications sets you apart in this field. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with various teams including People Operations, Payroll, Legal, Accounting, and Financial Planning & Analysis. Your ability to communicate effectively across departments ensures that you can drive initiatives that align with the company's mission to protect life.

You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to manage the day-to-day activities of equity plans efficiently. Your experience in interfacing with internal and external audit teams demonstrates your commitment to compliance and best practices in equity compensation. You understand the importance of fostering a culture of transparency and trust within the organization, ensuring that all employees feel empowered and informed about their equity compensation.

What you'll do

As the Principal of Equity Compensation, you will take ownership of the company's equity plans, ensuring they are managed effectively and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will report directly to the VP of Financial Reporting and Strategic Investments, providing insights and recommendations based on your expertise. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure that equity compensation aligns with the company's strategic goals and employee engagement initiatives.

You will be responsible for the administration of the eXponential Stock Plan (XSP), ensuring that it meets the needs of the organization and its employees. This includes managing the issuance of stock options, RSUs, and PSUs, as well as addressing any questions or concerns from employees regarding their equity compensation. You will also play a key role in educating employees about the benefits and implications of their equity awards, fostering a culture of understanding and appreciation for the company's compensation philosophy.

In addition, you will stay informed about industry trends and best practices in equity compensation, making recommendations for improvements to the company's plans as needed. Your ability to analyze data and provide insights will be crucial in ensuring that the company's equity compensation remains competitive and aligned with market standards.
