Coupang is seeking a Senior Staff Backend Engineer to lead the Retail Engineering team in developing systems for e-commerce. You'll work with Java and Spring to enhance retail selection processes. This role requires extensive backend engineering experience.
You have over 5 years of experience in backend engineering, particularly in building scalable production systems. You have a strong understanding of service architecture and have successfully managed services from design through deployment, tackling complex distributed systems issues along the way.
Your expertise lies in Java and Spring, and you have a proven track record of shipping high-throughput APIs that handle millions of requests. You are well-versed in best practices for dependency injection and testing strategies, ensuring that the systems you build are robust and maintainable.
You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them grow. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and are eager to take on challenges that push the boundaries of what’s possible in e-commerce.
