Amazon is hiring an Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical technology infrastructure in Mesa, Arizona. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime for AWS data centers.
You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you understand the intricacies of maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure and are eager to contribute to a team that ensures seamless operations. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical systems, including three-phase electrical systems, switch gear, UPSs, and PDUs. Your familiarity with diesel generators and cooling systems, such as centrifugal chillers and air handlers, equips you to handle the challenges of maintaining data center operations effectively.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside software, hardware, and network engineers — your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly helps bridge the gap between different teams. You are detail-oriented and committed to achieving high standards of uptime, understanding that your work directly impacts global digital experiences. You are proactive in identifying potential issues and are driven to find solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Experience with AWS infrastructure or similar cloud services is a plus — you are keen to learn and grow within the cloud computing space.
