Tenable is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to join their security research team. You'll focus on researching and developing detection logic for vulnerabilities using C/C++ and tools like Wireshark and Shodan. This role requires strong technical skills and experience in cybersecurity.
You have a strong background in cybersecurity research and development, with expertise in C and C++. Your experience includes researching existing vulnerabilities and developing advanced detection logic that minimizes false positives and negatives. You are comfortable interfacing with stakeholders and can effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy mentoring others, sharing your knowledge and insights to help your team succeed.
Experience with tools like Wireshark and Shodan is a plus, as is familiarity with vulnerability detection methodologies. You are proactive in seeking out new vulnerabilities and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that your work contributes to the overall security posture of the organization.
As a Senior Research Engineer at Tenable, you will be responsible for researching and identifying vulnerabilities in various systems and applications. You will develop checks and plugins to detect these vulnerabilities, ensuring that our products provide the best possible protection for our customers.
