Job Description

We are looking for a program managers who are responsible for improving delivery quality by proposing scalable improvement measures through complex and large-scale data analysis and close collaboration with operations.
We are leading Amazon's last-mile delivery quality improvement activities. As an example, on-time delivery success rate and redelivery rate are important indicator. As new initiatives are launched and new delivery stations are being established every day, in order to proceed with improvement activities for delivery stations all over Japan, we place the utmost importance on appropriate prioritization and data-driven decision-making after considering issues specific to the site and the impact on the overall business.

The mission of this position is to establish operational excellence and improve quality indicators in the assigned regions of responsibility. A state where everyone can take standard work as a matter of course leads to the highest quality. Achieving these is no easy feat. However, we believe that when you join the team, you will be excited by the challenging nature of the issues and the magnitude of the business impact. This position requires communication skills necessary for close cooperation with site managers in the region in charge, analytical ability to quantify site conditions and discover issues, logical explanation skills necessary to smoothly get alignments on proposed measures, and business-level Japanese/English proficiency. Since it is necessary to face different issues at each delivery station, it is also expected that you have a true hands-on approach.

Key job responsibilities
・Analysis of quality indicators and reports on analysis results (daily/weekly)
・Facilitating business reviews with site managers in the responsible region (weekly)
・Inspection of delivery stations and delivery areas (1-3 days/week)
・Proposals for improvement actions
・Follow-up on the status of ongoing actions and consideration of additional measures
・ Deployment support for LMDX-led projects to regions in charge
・Consider introducing new quality indicators and dashboards
・Preparation of improvement proposals
・Participation in projects led by other teams
・Progress reports on ongoing projects
・Requests for escalations and support when necessary- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Business level of English and Japanese
