Datadog is seeking a Developer Advocate to engage with the developer community and enhance Datadog's reputation in DevOps, Monitoring, Observability, and Security. You'll leverage your engineering and community relations skills to create content and support community initiatives.
You have a strong background in engineering and community relations, with experience in engaging and enabling developer communities. Your ability to create compelling content in various formats—such as demos, blogs, and webinars—sets you apart. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with key industry leaders to broaden your impact.
You are comfortable participating in technical discussions across platforms like Slack and Stack Overflow, and you have a knack for encouraging community engagement. Your experience includes working with ambassadors to amplify their stories and facilitate collaboration with product teams.
You understand the importance of community-focused events and have experience supporting or speaking at such gatherings. You are passionate about designing initiatives that entertain and reward community members, both online and at in-person events.
Your technical background allows you to interface effectively with product engineering teams, facilitating beta access and gathering valuable feedback from the community. You are also familiar with open source communities and can drive key messaging in the market.
Experience in DevOps, Monitoring, Observability, or Security is a plus, as is familiarity with community management tools and strategies. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and trends in the industry.
In this role, you will create diverse content to build Datadog's reputation as a leader in the industry. This includes developing demos, public speaking, writing blogs, and producing documentation and webinars. You will engage with community members to foster technical discussions and encourage participation in various channels.
You will work closely with Datadog Ambassadors, helping them share their stories and identify speaking opportunities. Your role will involve facilitating collaboration between ambassadors and Datadog teams to create and amplify their work.
You will support community-focused events, such as Datadog User Groups, ensuring they are engaging and beneficial for participants. Additionally, you will design initiatives that entertain and reward community members, enhancing their experience with Datadog.
Partnering with product engineering teams, you will facilitate beta access for community members and gather feedback to improve Datadog's offerings. You will also select and present topics for community-driven conversations and blog posts, ensuring that the community's voice is heard.
Your role will involve interfacing with open source communities to drive key messaging and develop new integrations, contributing to Datadog's growth and reputation in the market.
