You are an experienced design professional with a strong background in product design, ideally with over 5 years in a similar role. You thrive in the early stages of product definition, blending hands-on execution with strategic thinking. You excel at translating complex, ambiguous problems into intuitive experiences that resonate with users. Your ability to facilitate alignment among cross-functional teams is key, as you visualize multiple options and help teams debate trade-offs effectively. You are comfortable engaging directly with clients and sales teams, ensuring that the voice of the customer is heard and integrated into the design process. You have a passion for innovation, particularly in the areas of data and AI, and you are eager to embed these elements into your design work.

Desirable

Experience with user research methodologies and a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and outcomes would be advantageous. Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaboration tools is also a plus, as is a keen interest in consumer insights and market trends.

What you'll do

As the Design Lead at Mintel, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our global consumer insights through world-class design. You will be responsible for leading the design efforts for our CPG Proposition & Roadmap, ensuring that product and commercial goals are met through effective design solutions. You will work closely with engineering teams to build solutions that not only meet user needs but also drive business outcomes. Your role will involve sketching solutions in real-time during client interactions, allowing you to gather immediate feedback and iterate on designs quickly. You will facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions, encouraging exploration and innovation among team members. Your strategic mindset will help you navigate ambiguity, turning loose requirements into clear design flows that enhance user experiences. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior designers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the design team.
