Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Mission Integration Engineer for their User Products team to support the integration of Starshield communications for national security efforts. You'll collaborate with various disciplines to ensure customer mission success. This role requires strong communication and integration skills.

Who you are

You have a background in engineering or a related field, with experience in customer-facing roles where you have developed integration plans and architectural overviews. You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across hardware engineering, software, network operations, and sales. Your strong communication skills enable you to serve as a core point of contact for customers, guiding them through the integration process.

You understand the complexities of integrating hardware, software, and networks, and you are comfortable working with technical specifications and requirements. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and are committed to ensuring customer success in deploying communications and data solutions. Your ability to manage multiple projects and priorities will be key in this role.

Desirable

Experience in the aerospace or telecommunications industry would be a plus, as would familiarity with government contracts and national security efforts. A background in mission management or project management could enhance your effectiveness in this position.

What you'll do

As a Mission Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for serving as the customer interface during meetings, tests, and reviews. You will develop integration plans that align with customer needs and assist in architectural overviews to ensure successful deployments of Starshield User Products. Your role will involve close collaboration with other Mission Integration Engineers and Mission Managers to maintain alignment across related efforts.

You will support new business proposals by verifying initial requirements and guiding customers through the integration of hardware, software, and networks. Your work will directly impact the success of customer missions, and you will be expected to provide insights and recommendations based on your interactions with customers and internal teams.

You will also engage with various disciplines across SpaceX, including hardware engineering, software development, network operations, and security, to ensure that all aspects of the integration process are executed smoothly. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be crucial in this role.
