Amazon is hiring an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance in fulfillment centers. Who you are

You have a strong background in automation engineering, with experience in maximizing equipment reliability and operational performance. Your expertise in troubleshooting complex control systems is essential, and you are skilled in analyzing performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives. You thrive in collaborative environments, working with cross-functional teams to optimize material handling equipment systems and implement innovative projects. You are familiar with state-of-the-art technology, including conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and SCADA devices and programs. You understand the importance of operational excellence and are committed to ensuring that customers receive their orders with speed and accuracy.

Desirable

Experience with robotics and material handling equipment is a plus, as is familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies. You are proactive in your approach and have a passion for leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency.

What you'll do

As an Automation Engineer at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in the Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, focusing on maximizing equipment reliability and operational performance in our fulfillment centers. You will provide proactive controls automation and technical support, ensuring that all robotics and material handling equipment operates at peak efficiency. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting complex control systems, analyzing performance metrics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize material handling equipment systems and implement innovative projects that enhance operational performance. Your work will directly contribute to the efficiency of our operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders with the Amazon smile.
