Amazon is hiring a Compliance Technical Program Manager for Project Kuiper to drive global regulatory strategy for hardware products. You'll work closely with product management and design teams, requiring expertise in FCC and international certification processes.

Who you are

You have a strong background in compliance and regulatory processes, particularly with FCC and international certifications for consumer electronics. Your experience allows you to navigate complex regulatory environments and engage effectively with industry bodies and regulatory authorities. You thrive in collaborative settings, working with cross-disciplinary teams to innovate and deliver impactful consumer products. You are adaptable and responsive, able to manage multiple priorities while ensuring compliance across various markets.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate regulatory requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your familiarity with diverse product experiences equips you to contribute to product definition and execution effectively. You are proactive in developing scalable mechanisms for regulatory intelligence, ensuring that your team stays ahead of compliance challenges.

Desirable

Experience with satellite communications or broadband technologies would be a plus, as would familiarity with global regulatory frameworks beyond FCC. You are comfortable leading discussions with regulatory authorities and influencing standards that impact product development.

What you'll do

In this role, you will drive the global regulatory strategy for Amazon's hardware portfolio, particularly for Project Kuiper. You will collaborate closely with product management and design teams to research and specify regulatory and certification requirements for various launch countries. Your leadership will be crucial in engaging with industry bodies and regulatory authorities to influence standards and regulations, ensuring that all products meet necessary compliance criteria.

You will develop and implement scalable mechanisms for regulatory intelligence, allowing your team to respond swiftly to changes in regulatory landscapes. Your role will involve coordinating with internal teams to ensure that product definitions align with compliance requirements, facilitating smooth product launches across different markets.

You will also be responsible for monitoring compliance throughout the product lifecycle, from conception through to market launch. This includes conducting regular assessments and audits to ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Your insights will help shape product strategies and inform decision-making processes within the team.
