Block is seeking a Lead Manager for Outbound Sales Development to oversee a team focused on pipeline generation. You'll drive outbound strategy and execution while collaborating with Sales and Marketing teams. This role requires strong leadership and strategic skills.
You have a proven track record in sales management, with experience leading teams focused on outbound sales development. Your leadership style is characterized by speed, intensity, and precision, and you thrive in high-performance environments. You understand the importance of creating exceptional first interactions and executing high-quality outbound prospecting to deliver predictable top-of-funnel pipeline for sales organizations. You are skilled in shaping outbound strategies and enforcing a culture of excellence in execution across messaging, sequencing, qualification, and funnel conversion.
You possess strong analytical skills to identify funnel gaps and diagnose root causes, implementing changes that enhance meeting quality and downstream pipeline conversion. Your ability to train and develop your team is complemented by your strategic mindset, ensuring that the outbound motion is targeted and competitive. You are passionate about building a team that competes hard, moves fast, and wins, setting the tone for success through your leadership.
Experience in the financial technology sector or with integrated ecosystems is a plus, as is familiarity with tools and techniques for effective outbound sales strategies. A background in collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, and Sales Operations teams will help you excel in this role.
In this role, you will own the outbound engine, defining and driving the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of outbound pipeline generation. You will consistently deliver strong SQL, meeting, and conversion performance, ensuring high-quality output from your team. Your responsibilities will include reviewing cold calls, emails, and cadences to refine talk tracks, personalization, sequencing, and objection handling. You will also work to improve conversion rates by identifying funnel gaps and implementing effective changes.
You will train your team to position Square’s integrated ecosystem effectively, ensuring they understand how to communicate the value proposition to potential clients. Your leadership will be crucial in shaping the outbound strategy and ensuring that the team meets and exceeds pipeline targets. You will collaborate closely with other departments to ensure alignment and effectiveness in the outbound sales process.
