Overview

Uber is hiring a Safety Investigations Specialist I to handle critical incidents and ensure timely case resolution. Proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese is required for this role based in Lisbon.

Job Description

Who you are

You are a bilingual professional fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, with a minimum C1 level in both languages. You possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate a strong ability to empathize with customers while managing sensitive situations. You thrive in high-pressure environments and are adept at multitasking, ensuring that you can handle a high volume of urgent cases efficiently. Your attention to detail allows you to document incidents thoroughly, ensuring accurate reporting and categorization for further investigation. You are committed to providing exceptional customer service and are eager to collaborate with various internal teams to facilitate case resolution.

What you'll do

In this role, you will respond to a high volume of sensitive incident cases, primarily L1/L2, while also managing some L3/L4 urgent cases. You will act as a first responder to reported incidents, working under direct supervision to review incoming urgent and critical incidents. Your responsibilities will include documenting issues with reporting parties using various platforms and mastering multiple knowledge bases and contact management systems. You will engage with driver-partners, riders, eaters, couriers, claimants, third parties, and stakeholders to gather detailed information about incidents and ensure thorough documentation of conversations. Additionally, you will categorize incidents appropriately for the Special Investigations Unit to facilitate further investigation and resolution.
