Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or Client Services, demonstrating a strong customer-centric approach. You thrive in ambiguous situations and can operate autonomously while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction. Your background includes advocating for customers and acting as an extension of their team within your organization.

You possess a mind for technology and are eager to learn about MongoDB and databases. Your curiosity drives you to understand complex technical concepts, enabling you to effectively communicate with customers and internal teams. You are comfortable making key decisions to drive effective customer outcomes, including when to escalate issues to executive teams.

An entrepreneurial mindset defines your approach to work. You take full ownership of your customer portfolio, ensuring that you de-risk or de-escalate customer issues proactively. Your ability to navigate complex situations and advocate for customers is a key strength that sets you apart.

You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Professional Services, and Solutions Architects. Your strong interpersonal skills allow you to build relationships and trust with both customers and colleagues.

Desirable

Experience in a technical environment is a plus, as it will help you better understand customer needs and challenges. Familiarity with database technologies or similar products will enhance your ability to support customers effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will become the main point of contact for MongoDB end users, leveraging your technical and account management skills to ensure customer satisfaction. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs and advocate on their behalf within MongoDB. Your responsibilities will include managing customer portfolios, addressing escalations, and collaborating with various internal teams to drive successful outcomes.

You will take ownership of customer relationships, ensuring that you are proactive in identifying potential issues and addressing them before they escalate. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be crucial in this role.

You will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their goals, and aligning MongoDB's offerings to meet their needs. Your role will involve regular check-ins with customers to assess satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.

As a Customer Success Manager, you will collaborate with Sales and Professional Services teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. You will participate in onboarding new customers, providing them with the necessary resources and support to succeed with MongoDB.
