Pinterest is seeking a Senior Technical Revenue Accountant to lead technical revenue accounting initiatives, including ASC 606 compliance and complex contract reviews. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and a deep understanding of operational impacts on financial systems.
You have a strong background in technical revenue accounting, with a focus on ASC 606 compliance and complex contract reviews. Your experience allows you to deliver robust technical conclusions while understanding the operational impact on order-to-cash processes. You are skilled in collaborating with various teams, including Sales and Legal, to translate technical policies into scalable solutions that integrate smoothly into financial systems.
You possess excellent analytical skills and can conduct thorough technical accounting research and analysis on non-recurring and complex transactions. Your ability to create comprehensive accounting memos and process documentation bridges the gap between technical requirements and operational realities. You are detail-oriented and proactive in identifying issues early in the sales cycle, ensuring compliance and smooth operations.
In this role, you will lead the standard contract review workflow, proposing solutions to exceptions to standard contract terms. You will ensure ASC 606 compliance and flag issues early in the sales cycle, working closely with the Sales team to address any concerns. Your expertise will be crucial in assisting with technical accounting research and analysis on non-recurring and complex transactions, providing insights that drive decision-making.
You will create comprehensive accounting memos and process documentation that effectively communicate technical requirements to operational teams. Your collaboration with cross-functional partners will be essential in developing scalable solutions that enhance the efficiency of financial systems. You will also play a key role in training and mentoring junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster their growth.
