You have extensive experience in logistics, particularly in aerospace or manufacturing environments, where you've managed the transport of complex hardware and equipment. Your understanding of DOT/CFR regulations allows you to provide valuable input for compliance and safety in logistics operations. You possess strong organizational skills, enabling you to coordinate multiple transport schedules and resources effectively. You are detail-oriented and capable of developing and maintaining reports and metrics that track logistics performance.

Desirable

Experience with flight hardware or aerospace logistics is a plus, as is familiarity with inventory management systems. You may also have a background in project management, which helps you oversee logistics projects from inception to completion.

What you'll do

As a Senior Logistician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for the transport coordination of flight hardware and ground support equipment necessary for successful launches. You will work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure that all transport operations align with production schedules and launch manifests. Your role will involve providing direction to transport technicians and ensuring that all transport equipment is ready and compliant with safety regulations.

You will develop and document efficient packaging processes for flight vehicles and modules, collaborating with engineering teams to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency. Additionally, you will create and maintain reports and presentations that communicate logistics metrics and performance to management and other stakeholders.

Your input will be crucial in improving existing transport hardware and processes, as you will provide recommendations based on your experience and knowledge of industry best practices. You will also coordinate with outside transportation vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials, making sure that all logistics operations are executed flawlessly.
