Box is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to enhance their Relay Experience platform. You'll work with Java and Spring to develop scalable backend solutions. This role requires significant experience in backend engineering.
You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building scalable production systems. You understand the intricacies of service design and deployment, and you have a knack for debugging complex distributed systems issues. Your expertise in Java and Spring is deep — you've successfully shipped high-throughput APIs that handle millions of requests, and you have strong opinions on service architecture and testing strategies. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Experience with enterprise content management systems or AI-driven applications would be a plus. Familiarity with cloud platforms and microservices architecture is also advantageous, as is a background in agile methodologies.
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Box, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust backend solutions that enhance the Relay Experience platform. You will collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to define API specifications and ensure seamless integration. Your role will involve optimizing existing services for performance and scalability, as well as participating in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
