You have 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with a strong focus on product and infrastructure security. You understand the importance of securing the software development lifecycle and have experience reviewing architectural changes for security implications. Your background includes managing vulnerabilities and coordinating security testing, including penetration testing and bug bounty programs. You are familiar with SOC 2 compliance and have a proactive approach to identifying security gaps and driving continuous improvement across teams.

You are skilled in using tools like GitHub for vulnerability management and have a solid understanding of security best practices. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to enhance security measures. Your ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders makes you an effective advocate for security within the organization.

Desirable

Experience with cloud security and familiarity with security frameworks will be a plus. You have a keen interest in staying updated with the latest security trends and threats, and you are eager to implement innovative security solutions that align with business goals.

What you'll do

As a Senior Security Engineer at Apify, you will take ownership of building the security function from the ground up. You will focus on product security, ensuring that our features, infrastructure, and development practices keep users safe. You will establish security standards and practices across the company, leveraging your expertise to create a robust security posture.

You will manage the full lifecycle of vulnerabilities, utilizing tools like GitHub Dependabot and code scanning to identify and remediate security issues. Coordinating security testing will be a key responsibility, where you will oversee penetration testing and manage our bug bounty program to ensure that our platform remains secure against potential threats.

You will also be responsible for managing secrets and credentials, ensuring that sensitive information is handled securely. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to integrate security into the development process, fostering a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
