Uber is hiring an Account Executive to expand Uber Eats' restaurant selection by acquiring high-quality SMB partners. This role requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage a sales funnel effectively.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in managing complex negotiations and building relationships with small to medium-sized businesses. Your analytical mindset allows you to identify high-potential partners and balance quality with volume in competitive markets. You are disciplined and strategic, focusing on long-term value rather than just immediate results. You thrive in a field-based role and are willing to travel as needed to meet your clients.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively with restaurant partners and internal stakeholders. You are comfortable working independently and designing your weekly funnel construction plan to consistently close deals. Your experience in sales has equipped you with the skills to maintain a healthy stage distribution and ensure clarity in deal progression.
Experience in the food delivery or restaurant industry would be a plus, as would familiarity with using geo insights and competitive dynamics to inform your sales strategy. A background in account management or business development is also advantageous, as it will help you navigate the complexities of the role more effectively.
In this role, you will be responsible for expanding Uber Eats' restaurant selection by acquiring high-quality SMB partners. You will manage your sales funnel end-to-end, from prospecting and qualification to pitching and negotiation. Your goal will be to close approximately 20 restaurant deals per month, requiring you to source, qualify, and prioritize potential partners based on various factors such as demand potential and operational readiness.
You will lead multi-step negotiations that balance unit economics and merchant expectations, ensuring that both parties find value in the partnership. Your ability to structure offers based on merchant type will be crucial in securing deals, especially in competitive or price-sensitive segments. You will also be responsible for early-life follow-up to ensure that merchants activate successfully and remain engaged from day one.
