Overview

SpaceX is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for the Merlin Thrust Chamber Assemblies team to develop innovative solutions in propulsion technology. You'll support the production of critical engine hardware using various manufacturing processes. This role requires expertise in manufacturing and engineering principles.

Your experience includes working with various manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and mechanical assembly, which are crucial for the production of rocket engine components. Desirable

What you'll do

As a Manufacturing Engineer at SpaceX, you will support the day-to-day production of Falcon and Merlin engine sub-assemblies. Your responsibilities will include developing and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality production at an aggressive pace. You will analyze recurring manufacturing discrepancies and lead teams to identify root causes, implementing solutions that enhance hardware performance. Your role will also involve collaborating with design and engineering teams to provide input on new and existing hardware, ensuring manufacturability and efficiency.

You will be responsible for overseeing various manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, metal forming, pressure testing, and non-destructive testing.
