Google is seeking a CPU Verification Engineer to validate next-generation hardware solutions. You'll work with ARM architectures and contribute to the development of custom silicon solutions. This role requires 4+ years of experience in CPU architectures and verification methodologies.
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or possess equivalent practical experience. With at least 4 years of experience in modern CPU architectures, you have a strong emphasis on ARM-based microarchitectural features. Your background includes experience with AMBA buses like CHI and ACE, as well as cache coherency protocols. You may also have a Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field, further enhancing your expertise in computer architecture. Your skills in ARM Assembly and C Programming are essential for assembly-based test case development, allowing you to contribute effectively to the team.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, working cross-functionally to debug failures and verify the functional correctness of designs. Your deep understanding of CPU architecture and microarchitecture, particularly within the ARM ecosystem, enables you to develop and execute comprehensive Design Verification strategies. You are detail-oriented and committed to ensuring the functionality and reliability of the Central Processing Unit (CPU).
Experience with advanced verification techniques and methodologies is a plus, as is familiarity with System-on-Chip (SoC) design principles. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to push boundaries in developing innovative silicon solutions that power products loved by millions worldwide.
As a CPU Verification Engineer at Google, you will play a critical role in validating next-generation hardware. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing comprehensive Design Verification strategies to ensure the functionality and reliability of the CPU. You will collaborate closely with the Design Verification team to build reusable verification components and verify designs using various verification techniques. Your role will involve providing detailed test plans, including verification strategy, environment, components, stimulus, checks, and coverage, ensuring that documentation is user-friendly and accessible.
You will work cross-functionally with other teams to debug failures and verify the functional correctness of designs. Your contributions will directly impact the innovation behind Google's direct-to-consumer products, shaping the next generation of hardware experiences. You will be responsible for ensuring that the designs meet the highest standards of performance, efficiency, and integration.
