Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Customer Engineer specializing in Generative AI to engage with enterprise customers and implement scalable AI solutions on Google Cloud. You'll leverage your expertise in programming languages and cloud architecture to drive adoption of AI systems. This role requires 6+ years of experience in a customer-facing position.

Job Description

Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience, and you have at least 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role. Your background includes 5 years of experience in one or more general purpose programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Go, with a focus on Machine Learning or Generative AI applications. You are fluent in both English and Portuguese, enabling you to effectively engage with local stakeholders and drive successful AI implementations.

You have hands-on experience with Agentic AI frameworks, such as ADK, LangGraph, CrewAI, and LangChain, and you are skilled in integrating AI APIs, including Large Language Models APIs, Speech-To-Text, and Text-To-Speech. Your understanding of modern AI architectures goes beyond basic prompting, as you are familiar with advanced techniques like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), function calling, memory banks, semantic caching, guardrail mechanisms, vector search optimization, and model fine-tuning. You are also experienced in implementing CI/CD solutions in the context of Generative AI applications, including designing automated evaluation frameworks and observability strategies for production systems.

Desirable

A Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field is preferred. You have experience in architecting and developing software for scalable, distributed systems and possess a strong understanding of data and information management as it relates to big data trends and issues within businesses. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is a key asset.

What you'll do

In this role, you will recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete AI solution on Google Cloud. You will drive the adoption of Agentic AI systems by guiding enterprise customers in designing and implementing scalable application capabilities. Your responsibilities will include demonstrating and prototyping integrations in customer and partner environments, ensuring that solutions are tailored to meet specific business needs.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that AI solutions are effectively integrated into existing systems and processes. Your role will involve engaging with customers to understand their requirements and challenges, providing expert guidance on best practices for AI implementation, and helping them navigate the complexities of cloud-native architectures. You will also be responsible for monitoring the performance of deployed AI solutions and making recommendations for improvements based on customer feedback and performance metrics.
