Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Sourcing Specialist for the Starlink project to enhance supply chain strategies and support satellite production. This role requires collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to achieve production goals.

Who you are

You have a strong background in supply chain management, with experience in sourcing and procurement processes that enable efficient production flows. Your ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams is essential, as you will be coordinating efforts to meet production goals effectively. You understand the complexities of material requirements planning and inventory management, and you are adept at executing creative supply chain strategies that maximize operational efficiency.

You are detail-oriented and possess excellent analytical skills, allowing you to assess supplier performance and make data-driven decisions. Your communication skills enable you to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are aligned on production timelines and requirements. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to continuous improvement in supply chain processes.

Desirable

Experience in the aerospace or technology sectors is a plus, as is familiarity with PCB sourcing and procurement. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to satellite production will enhance your effectiveness in this role. You are proactive in identifying potential supply chain risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted production.

What you'll do

As a Senior Sourcing Specialist at SpaceX, you will play a critical role in the development and production of the Starlink satellite constellation. You will work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to understand their material needs and develop sourcing strategies that align with production schedules. Your responsibilities will include managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support production goals.

You will be responsible for material requirements planning, where you will analyze demand forecasts and coordinate with suppliers to ensure that materials are available when needed. Your role will also involve dock-to-stock coordination, where you will oversee the receipt and inspection of materials to ensure they meet quality standards before they are integrated into the production process.
