Overview

Monzo is seeking a Third Party Risk Manager to oversee and enhance risk management processes and governance models. You'll work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure compliance with evolving regulations. This role requires strong relationship management skills and a proactive approach to risk assessment.

Who you are

You have a strong background in risk management, ideally with experience in third party and outsourcing risk. Your ability to build and maintain relationships across teams and with external partners is key to your success. You understand the importance of compliance and governance in a rapidly changing regulatory environment, and you are adept at implementing effective controls and processes. You thrive in a collaborative, high-energy team and are passionate about making a positive impact in the banking sector. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent analytical skills, allowing you to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. You are comfortable working in a tech-focused environment and are eager to contribute to innovative solutions that enhance risk management practices.

Desirable

Experience in the banking or financial services industry is a plus, as is familiarity with regulatory frameworks related to third party risk management. You may also have knowledge of risk assessment tools and methodologies, which will help you in your role. A proactive mindset and the ability to adapt to new challenges will set you apart as a candidate.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead efforts to establish and maintain robust risk management frameworks that align with Monzo's strategic objectives. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that risk management practices are integrated into the organization's operations. Your responsibilities will include conducting risk assessments, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and recommending improvements to existing processes. You will also be responsible for developing and delivering training programs to enhance awareness of risk management across the organization. Regularly reviewing and updating risk management policies and procedures will be essential to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with external suppliers to assess their risk profiles and ensure that appropriate controls are in place.
