Who you are

You have extensive experience in infrastructure development, utilizing diverse approaches to assess challenges from both technical and operational perspectives. As a knowledgeable expert, you ensure that your team and clients understand operational requirements, sharing the responsibility for designing and implementing infrastructure for software services.

You are adept at adopting a DevOps mindset, helping clients transition from rigid, traditional workflows to customer-centric agile methodologies. Your technical skills allow you to design and build enterprise-level hosting platforms, seamlessly managing application servers, web servers, and databases.

You possess a profound understanding of cloud and virtualization platforms, infrastructure automation, and application hosting technologies. Your leadership in infrastructure and operations is guided by principles of DevOps, agile methodologies, and infrastructure as code.

You have relevant experience with server virtualization, IaaS and PaaS cloud solutions, and configuration management tools. Proficiency in at least one scripting language and familiarity with building Linux and/or Windows server systems are part of your skill set.

You have experience with continuous integration tools across various technology stacks, whether web or mobile. Your background includes working with observability patterns and monitoring systems for stress and performance testing, distributed tracing, log aggregation, and API health checks.

You enjoy collaborating with team members across the organization and have a knack for conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences. You thrive on creating robust, scalable, and flexible solutions that drive business transformation.

What you'll do

In this role, you will initiate projects through practical implementation, assessing and driving improvements in existing infrastructure. You will listen to client needs and develop technical roadmaps and effective solutions to support their challenging business objectives.

You will collaborate with business development, marketing, and functional development teams to shape and build the cloud and infrastructure practices at Thoughtworks. Your focus will be on ensuring and establishing controls and processes for continuous application delivery, considering all stages of the process and their automation.

You will monitor and ensure that technical expectations for deliverables are consistently met on projects. Acting as a thought leader in DevOps, cloud, and infrastructure engineering, you will build trust and thoughtful partnerships with clients' CIOs, CTOs, and relevant teams.

You will propose innovative solutions in response to current constraints and business strategy adjustments. Your role will involve direct collaboration with infrastructure technicians, support and network analysts, security analysts, system administrators, and IT managers to design technical strategies while working as a consultant with senior IT teams.
