Overview

Axon is seeking a Principal of Equity Compensation to manage the company's equity plans, including stock options and RSUs. This role requires extensive experience with equity incentive plans and international tax implications.

Who you are

You have significant experience in equity compensation, particularly with equity incentive plans such as stock options, RSUs, and PSUs. Your familiarity with international considerations and tax implications sets you apart in this field. You thrive in collaborative environments and are adept at interfacing with various teams, including People Operations, Payroll, Legal, and Accounting. You understand the importance of compliance with laws and regulations, ensuring that all equity plans are managed effectively and in accordance with best practices.

You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable working with complex data sets. Your attention to detail ensures that all aspects of equity compensation are handled accurately and efficiently. You are proactive in identifying potential issues and are skilled at developing solutions that align with the company's goals. Your ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders is crucial in this role, as you will be responsible for guiding the company through the intricacies of equity compensation.

Desirable

Experience with eXponential Stock Plan (XSP) is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest trends in equity compensation. You are open to continuous learning and adapting to new challenges in the field. Your background in financial reporting and strategic investments will enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In your role as Principal of Equity Compensation, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of Axon's equity plans, ensuring that they are managed effectively and in compliance with all relevant regulations. You will report directly to the VP of Financial Reporting and Strategic Investments, providing insights and recommendations based on your expertise. Your responsibilities will include analyzing the performance of equity plans, preparing reports for management, and collaborating with various departments to ensure a seamless integration of equity compensation into the overall compensation strategy.

You will also be responsible for educating employees about their equity compensation options, helping them understand the value and implications of their equity awards. This involves conducting training sessions and creating informative materials that clarify complex concepts. Your role will require you to stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring that Axon's equity compensation practices remain competitive and compliant.
