You'll work with AWS and industry standards to ensure robust security controls. This role requires 8+ years of experience in product security, particularly in autonomous systems.
You have over 8 years of experience in product security, with a strong focus on autonomous systems, robotics, automotive, or safety-critical embedded systems. Your expertise includes defining and leading security architecture, particularly for complex systems like autonomous vehicles. You are well-versed in security controls for high-performance compute and sensor arrays, ensuring safety-critical components are robust against threats.
You possess a deep understanding of threat modeling techniques such as STRIDE and TARA, and you are adept at addressing complex attack vectors including GPS spoofing and adversarial machine learning. Your experience includes designing secure architectures for vehicle-to-cloud communication and over-the-air updates, utilizing AWS services effectively.
You have a proven track record of providing technical oversight and direction for Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), defining monitoring requirements, and validating service effectiveness. You are familiar with industry standards such as ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE WP.29 R155, and you have experience developing and enforcing security requirements for engineering teams.
You are a collaborative leader who can serve as the technical authority on security for AI/ML, robotics, hardware, and systems engineering teams. Your ability to communicate complex security concepts to diverse teams makes you an effective advocate for security best practices.
Experience with autonomous driving systems and a strong background in embedded systems security will set you apart. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards is highly desirable, as is experience in mentoring and guiding teams in security practices.
In this role, you will define, lead, and own the security architecture for Motional's autonomous driving platform. This includes the perception stack, sensor fusion, localization, and path planning systems. You will architect robust security controls for safety-critical components, ensuring that high-performance compute and sensor arrays are protected against potential threats.
You will lead comprehensive threat modeling efforts on autonomous driving systems, addressing complex attack vectors and ensuring that security measures are in place to mitigate risks. Your work will involve designing secure architectures for vehicle-to-cloud communication and managing over-the-air updates, ensuring that data telemetry is handled securely using AWS services.
You will provide technical oversight and direction for Managed Security Service Providers, defining monitoring requirements and validating the effectiveness of their services. Your role will also involve developing and enforcing security requirements based on industry standards, ensuring that engineering teams adhere to best practices in security.
As the lead technical authority on security, you will collaborate closely with AI/ML, robotics, hardware, and systems engineering teams to integrate security into the development process. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of security awareness and best practices across the organization.
