Google is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex infrastructure capacity planning projects in Cloud Networking. You'll leverage your expertise in data center architecture and project management. This role requires 5+ years of experience in program management.
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 5 years of experience in program management. Your background includes working with data center architecture and planning in a colocation environment, which has equipped you with the skills necessary to manage complex projects effectively. You are comfortable managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle. Your experience in evaluating and designing data center infrastructure is complemented by your proficiency in AutoCAD drafting, allowing you to contribute to the technical aspects of project planning and execution.
You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical analyses and recommendations to executives while also engaging in detailed discussions with engineers about the technical trade-offs involved in product development. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with various teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time and meet the required specifications. Your problem-solving mindset drives you to find solutions that benefit all stakeholders involved, reflecting your commitment to building products that create opportunities for everyone.
Experience with cloud networking and an understanding of Google's Network Architecture Standards would be advantageous. Familiarity with reporting and metrics related to data center infrastructure capacity planning is also a plus, as it will help you develop insights that drive project success.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead the planning, evaluation, design, and construction of data center facilities across the globe.
