Job Description

About the Company

Qumulo is the unstructured data platform to store and manage exabyte-scale data anywhere – at the edge, in the core data center and in the cloud. With unstructured data growing in more locations faster than ever before, enterprises today need a way to store, manage, and curate data simply and efficiently in any location, on any platform. This is precisely what Qumulo was founded to accomplish.

At Qumulo, we are building an open and collaborative culture where people can do their best work with customers as our magnetic field. We act as owners, we share by default, we are data driven and experimental and as an inclusive workplace, we encourage and celebrate multiple points of view. As part of our culture we believe diversity drives innovation.

About the Position

We're looking for a passionate Full Stack Developer to help us build high-performance, scalable web applications and APIs that enable our customers to manage their data with clarity and ease across cloud and hybrid environments. This role offers the opportunity to work across the entire stack, from elegant user interfaces in React.js to robust backend services using Node.js—all powered by modern AWS infrastructure.

Our engineers are empowered to collaborate, take ownership, and drive innovation across the product. If you thrive in fast-paced, customer-focused environments where full stack craftsmanship meets cloud-first scalability, we’d love to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications using React.js, Node.js, and JavaScript
  • Implement scalable backend services and APIs, with secure and performant data flows
  • Build cloud-native features leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and ECS, SNS, SQS, RDS
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create intuitive and responsive user experiences
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle: planning, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance across the stack
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of our SDLC processes, tools, and best practices

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with full stack development in React.js, Node.js, and JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of modern web technologies, UI frameworks, and RESTful API design
  • Experience working with AWS services to build and deploy cloud-native applications
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and agile development methodologies
  • Solid grasp of CS fundamentals (e.g., data structures, algorithms, asynchronous programming, web security)
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; collaborative and customer-first mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with serverless architecture and microservices
  • Familiarity with TypeScript and AdonisJS
  • Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience working in high-scale, high-throughput SaaS environments

Key Benefits

The annual pay range for the role is USD $142,000.00 - $214,000.00. Individual pay depends on various factors, such as role level, relevant experience and skills, and location. Pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the pay range applicable at the time. U.S. based employees have access to healthcare benefits, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, wellbeing benefits, flexible time off, and paid holidays, among others.

  • Excellent healthcare coverage
  • Parental leave
  • 401K investment plan
  • Unlimited paid time off, strongly encouraged to take at least 3 weeks per year
