Amazon is seeking a Senior Analyst in Vendor Management for their Accounts Payable team in Manila. You'll focus on processing invoices, troubleshooting discrepancies, and supporting operational excellence initiatives. This role requires a background in finance or accounting and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
You have a B.S. or B.A. in Finance or Accounting and possess strong analytical skills that allow you to deep dive into financial data while also understanding the bigger picture. With over 2 years of experience in finance operations or shared services, you are detail-oriented and articulate, capable of communicating effectively in both written and spoken business English. Your intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel enables you to analyze data efficiently, and you have a strong customer focus, driven by a desire to exceed expectations.
You thrive in a collaborative environment and are adept at managing multiple competing priorities while meeting deadlines. Your experience in accounts payable has equipped you with the skills to process invoices accurately and troubleshoot discrepancies effectively. You are also familiar with process improvement methodologies, such as Kaizen or Green Belt, and are eager to contribute to operational excellence initiatives within the team.
Experience with financial systems and metrics reporting is a plus, as is familiarity with the APAC region's vendor management processes. You are open to learning and adapting to new challenges, and you understand the importance of timely payments to suppliers in maintaining strong business relationships.
In this role, you will be responsible for processing invoices from Amazon corporate vendors within the financial system, ensuring that payments are made on time. You will troubleshoot any discrepancies that arise during the invoice processing and analyze metrics to report to management, contributing to informed decision-making. Your participation in operational excellence activities will help drive continuous improvement within the Accounts Payable team.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all accounts payable activities align with controller-ship policies and procedures. Your analytical skills will be crucial in identifying areas for process improvement, and you will be expected to contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
