Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 8 years of experience in data center operations or relevant operational experience in industries such as power generation, HVAC, or industrial manufacturing. You possess strong people management and leadership skills, having spent 5 years managing technical teams and vendors responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and controls infrastructure. Your knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in a data center environment sets you apart, and you thrive in collaborative settings where you can contribute to company goals and standards. You are a creative, organized customer service specialist who takes pride in ensuring smooth and efficient operations, and you bring enthusiasm and dedication to your work.

Desirable

A Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred, along with experience in collaborating with various business units. Your ability to develop strategies that minimize operational costs, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact is highly valued.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the daily operations of Google's data center facilities, ensuring that all systems run smoothly and efficiently. You will oversee the management of technical teams and vendors, guiding them in the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include developing strategies to optimize equipment and operations for next-generation data centers, as well as making recommendations for design improvements.
