Who you are

You are a motivated individual eager to gain practical experience in the field of Facilities, Real Estate, Finance, and Leasing. As an entry-level intern, you are looking to build your knowledge base and skills in corporate services and real estate management. You are open to learning about commercial lease types, financial components, and the tools used in the industry. You are detail-oriented and ready to engage with both internal departments and external vendors to support the Facilities team.

Desirable

A background or coursework in finance, real estate, or property management would be beneficial. Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools is a plus, as you will be creating customized reports and presentations during your internship.

What you'll do

During this 10-week summer internship, you will work closely with the Facilities team at Point72, gaining exposure to various departmental responsibilities. You will learn about commercial lease types and structures, and key financial components that are essential for real estate finance. You will assist in the rollout of new global lease software and tools, which will enhance your understanding of technology in real estate management. Your role will involve preparing financial analysis and presentation materials to support the firm’s strategic real estate goals, allowing you to apply your analytical skills in a real-world context.

Additionally, you will conduct market research on areas within the existing real estate portfolio, helping the team stay updated with market trends and competitor activity. You will compile search criteria, drawings, and other relevant information to assist in exploring potential new office locations, providing you with a comprehensive view of the facilities management process.
