Prime Air is seeking an experienced Senior TPM who can lead by example to drive some of our ambitious goals.

Export Control License:
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.


Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will define, own and drive technical programs that span multiple engineering teams and organizational boundaries. You will partner with product management and technical leadership to integrate the customer-facing drone delivery workflow with our partner teams. As a technical leader, you will influence strategy and outcomes across Prime Air teams and other external Amazon teams such as the Last Mile Tech, Delivery Experience, Shipment Planning and Execution Coordinator, and Supply Chain Optimization Technologies teams.

This role is inherently cross-functional and requires a strong ability to communicate, influence and earn the trust of software engineers, technical and business leadership.

This is an effort with high visibility, and most of the execution plan still to be defined and delivered across multiple VP orgs.

About the team
Our teams is responsible for the customer-facing aspects of Prime Air including the retail website and mobile apps. We are also responsible for integrating our Prime Air drones into the broader Amazon fulfillment network.- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Experience owning delivery of technical projects or programs that span the software development life cycle (requirements, design, development, deployment and operations).
- Experience communicating complex issues and concepts verbally and in writing to a wide range of audiences from technical developers to non-technical executives.- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Understanding of various Amazon Shopping Pages, and Checkout Experiences
- Understanding of the Amazon Last Mile Tech Systems and Services work

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
