Senior Software Engineer II (Full-Stack) - Maps Services

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on both frontend and backend development. Your expertise in Java and JavaScript allows you to build robust applications that meet user needs effectively. You are comfortable working with frameworks like React and have a solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product managers and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions. You are passionate about technical excellence and are always looking for ways to improve processes and code quality. You understand the importance of scalability and performance in application design and have experience optimizing applications for these factors.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure would be a plus, as would familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker. You have a keen interest in the Internet of Things (IoT) and how it can transform physical operations. A background in working with mapping services or geospatial data is also desirable, as it aligns with the projects you will be involved in at Samsara.
