What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager at Nium, you will co-own the B2B Card Issuance vertical, working closely with senior engineering leadership to drive the technical direction of the team. You will lead a mid-size team, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver high-quality backend services that meet the needs of our clients. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery process, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

You will play a key role in defining the technical strategy for your team, collaborating with other departments to align on project goals and deliverables. You will be accountable for the quality and stability of the services your team develops, implementing best practices for testing and deployment. You will also focus on team effectiveness, conducting regular one-on-ones and performance reviews to support your team members' growth and development.

In addition to your management responsibilities, you will remain technically engaged, contributing to the architecture and design of backend systems. You will work with your team to troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring that our services remain reliable and performant. You will also have the opportunity to influence the technical direction of the company, advocating for new technologies and practices that can enhance our offerings.
