Amazon is seeking a Senior Water Resources Manager to provide engineering and due diligence support for AWS’s water infrastructure projects in the APAC region. You'll work on water-based cooling systems and ensure the smooth operation of water treatment systems. This role requires expertise in water infrastructure and project management.
You have extensive experience in water resources management, particularly in engineering and due diligence for water infrastructure projects. Your background includes negotiating with utilities and evaluating water and wastewater solutions, ensuring you can effectively manage multiple projects across various geographies. You are results-oriented and have a strong understanding of water sustainability practices, making you a subject matter expert in this field.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to convey performance metrics to technical teams and senior leadership effectively. Your ability to develop and maintain healthy relationships with utilities is crucial for the success of your projects. You are adept at analyzing geographical data and site information, which aids in the due diligence and site selection processes for new projects.
Experience with water treatment systems and infrastructure is highly desirable. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools will enhance your ability to deliver projects on time and within budget. A background in environmental engineering or a related field will be beneficial in understanding the complexities of water resources management.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing multiple water projects across the APAC region, focusing on both new and existing AWS infrastructure. You will conduct due diligence on water and wastewater infrastructure solutions, ensuring that all projects meet AWS standards and sustainability goals. Your role will involve negotiating directly with water utilities to secure necessary resources and services for project execution.
You will support AWS operations and engineering teams in troubleshooting and operating water treatment systems at existing sites. You will also be the central point of contact for all issues related to water and wastewater treatment, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally.
