Google is seeking a Senior Consultant for Incident Response at Mandiant to lead client-facing engagements and conduct thorough investigations into cybersecurity threats. You'll leverage your expertise in forensics and incident response to help clients mitigate risks and enhance their security posture.
You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, along with at least 5 years of experience in end-to-end incident response investigations. Your investigative experience includes network forensics, malware triage analysis, cloud forensics, and disk and memory forensics. You possess the ability to obtain a NATO Secret or NATO Member State-equivalent security clearance, which is essential for working with government clients. You are comfortable with travel, as this role may require up to 25% travel.
Your background includes delivering cyber outcomes and identifying mission risks, allowing you to devise effective solutions to combat public sector-focused threats. You have implemented industry-leading practices around cyber risks and cloud security frameworks, demonstrating your knowledge of the components that comprise an information security program. You are familiar with tools used in penetration testing, security event analysis, incident response, and computer forensics, as well as network and endpoint architecture. Your understanding of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, HIPAA/HITECH, or PCI DSS further enhances your qualifications.
As a Security Consultant, you will be responsible for helping clients prepare for, mitigate, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats. You will lead client-facing incident response engagements, examining cloud, endpoint, and network-based sources of evidence. Your role will involve conducting host forensics, network forensics, log analysis, and malware triage in support of incident response investigations. You will develop and present comprehensive and accurate reports, trainings, and presentations for both technical and executive audiences, ensuring that clients understand the implications of your findings and recommendations.
You will collaborate closely with clients to manage expectations and provide insights into their security posture. Your ability to interact effectively with clients will be crucial in building trust and ensuring successful outcomes. You will also stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge to provide the best possible service to your clients.
