Principal ML Engineer, ML Platform Engineering

Who you are

You have a strong background in machine learning engineering with at least 5 years of experience in developing and deploying ML models. Your expertise in Python and familiarity with frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch enable you to build robust machine learning solutions. You are comfortable working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and have experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes. Your leadership skills shine through as you mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within your team. You are detail-oriented and committed to operational excellence, ensuring that the infrastructure you build is reliable and scalable.

Desirable

Experience with MLOps practices and tools is a plus, as is familiarity with data engineering concepts. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others, helping to elevate the skills of your peers. A background in AI product development would be beneficial, as you will be working on products that directly impact Xometry's marketplace.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take on a hands-on technical leadership position, actively coding and troubleshooting to deliver high-quality machine learning infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with the AI/MLE leadership team to define the vision and technical implementation of foundational infrastructure for Xometry’s AI/ML solutions. Your responsibilities will include conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, and ensuring best practices in ML engineering are followed across the organization. You will also be tasked with creating documentation and technical diagrams to support the team's efforts. As a Principal ML Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and ensuring the successful delivery of core aspects of the Xometry ecosystem.
