Waymo is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Perception Object Generation to lead model launches and plan future investments in model capabilities. This role requires strong collaboration and negotiation skills.
You have 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally within the technology or automotive sectors. You possess a strong understanding of autonomous driving technology and its applications, allowing you to navigate complex trade-offs and make informed decisions. Your collaborative nature enables you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that all perspectives are considered in the product development process. You are comfortable with data-driven decision-making and can translate technical concepts into actionable insights for stakeholders. You are ambitious about the future of mobility and are eager to contribute to a mission-driven team.
Experience in AI or machine learning is a plus, as is familiarity with the automotive industry. You have a track record of successfully launching products and can demonstrate your ability to manage timelines and stakeholder expectations effectively.
In this role, you will act as an approver for model launches, understanding and negotiating between trade-offs, regressions, and improvements across all aspects of a model's surface area. You will plan for future investments into model capabilities on a 12+ month timeline, ensuring that the product roadmap aligns with the company's strategic goals. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other product teams to develop playbooks that bring fully autonomous driving technology to market. Your responsibilities will include conducting user research, defining success metrics, and coordinating go-to-market strategies. You will also be involved in stakeholder management, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed throughout the product lifecycle.
Waymo provides a competitive salary range of $238,000—$302,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
