Glacier is hiring a DevOps Engineer to build and maintain the software infrastructure for their robotics fleet. You'll work with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker to ensure system reliability and scalability. This role is ideal for candidates based in Latin America.
You have a strong background in DevOps engineering with experience in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure — your expertise in AWS allows you to design scalable solutions that support complex systems. You are proficient in CI/CD practices, having implemented pipelines that streamline deployment processes for both cloud services and edge devices.
Your technical skills include a solid understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes — you know how to leverage these tools to enhance system reliability and performance. You are comfortable working in a Linux environment and have experience monitoring system performance and implementing observability tools to ensure operational excellence.
You are passionate about environmental sustainability and are excited about the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven company — your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and AI engineers, makes you an ideal fit for this role. You thrive in a remote work environment and are adaptable to different time zones, particularly in the Latin America region.
Experience with robotics or AI systems is a plus, as is familiarity with observability tools and practices. You may also have a background in software development, which enhances your understanding of the full lifecycle of system deployment and maintenance.
As a DevOps Engineer at Glacier, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the AWS cloud infrastructure that supports our robotics fleet and data pipelines. You will develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes, ensuring that our systems are reliable, scalable, and secure.
You will monitor system performance and reliability, implementing observability tools to respond to incidents effectively. Your role will involve collaborating closely with our software, hardware, and AI teams to ensure that our systems meet the demands of our growing operations.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the technical impact of our projects, building and owning critical infrastructure that enables our robots to divert tons of waste from landfills. Your work will directly contribute to reducing carbon emissions and improving our society's circularity.
At Glacier, we offer a unique opportunity to work at a Series A startup that is making a tangible impact on the environment. You will be part of a team that is recognized for its innovative technology, having been featured in TIME's Best Inventions and various media outlets.
We provide a fully remote work environment, allowing you to work from anywhere in Latin America while collaborating with a diverse team. You will have the chance to grow your skills in a supportive and mission-driven culture, where your contributions will be valued and recognized.
Join us in building the future of recycling and making a difference in the world. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your passion for sustainability and technology is what matters most.
