You have 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with a strong background in designing and implementing secure applications and infrastructure. You are a security advocate who can effectively communicate security risks and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Your expertise in threat modeling and risk assessment allows you to lead initiatives that enhance security across the organization. You are passionate about fostering a positive security culture and championing security outcomes on behalf of customers.

You have a deep understanding of security best practices and frameworks, particularly OWASP, and you are skilled at embedding security into the development lifecycle. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with engineering teams to ensure that security is a priority in all aspects of development. Your proactive approach to assessing security risks through product deep dives and architecture reviews sets you apart as a leader in the field.

Desirable

Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks is a plus. Familiarity with security tools and technologies, as well as a background in financial services or cryptocurrency, would be advantageous. What you'll do

As a Senior Security Engineer at Ripple, you will play a crucial role in designing and building secure applications and infrastructure at scale. You will collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure that security is integrated into the development process from the ground up. Your responsibilities will include leading initiatives to optimize threat models and mitigate risks, as well as conducting product assessments and security reviews.

You will be responsible for proactively assessing security risks through deep dives into products, threat modeling, and design reviews. Your ability to communicate complex security concepts to diverse audiences will be essential in fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization. You will work closely with engineering leaders to embed security practices into day-to-day development processes, ensuring that security is a shared responsibility among all team members.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will champion security outcomes on behalf of Ripple's customers, advocating for their needs and ensuring that security is prioritized in all projects. You will also review and improve existing security processes related to product assessments and penetration testing, continuously seeking ways to enhance the security posture of the organization.
