Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Safety

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in machine learning and data analysis, with a strong background in developing and deploying machine learning models that drive real impact. You are proficient in Python and have a solid understanding of data processing and analysis techniques. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and legal to design effective machine learning solutions. You are passionate about using technology to enhance safety and integrity within platforms, and you have experience in content moderation or fraud detection.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is a plus, as is familiarity with data visualization tools. You have a keen interest in the creator economy and understand the unique challenges faced by creators and fans in online communities. You are comfortable with exploratory data analysis and have a knack for translating complex data insights into actionable strategies.

What you'll do

In this role, you will conduct exploratory data analyses to identify potential risks within the platform. You will develop and implement machine learning models that enhance content moderation and fraud detection efforts. Collaborating with the Safety Engineering team, you will work closely with policy and Trust & Safety Operations to ensure that the solutions you create align with the company's mission to protect creators and fans alike. You will also engage in regular communication with cross-functional partners to gather requirements and feedback, ensuring that the machine learning models you develop are effective and user-friendly.

You will be responsible for monitoring the performance of deployed models and iterating on them based on real-world data and feedback. You will also contribute to the team's knowledge base by documenting your findings and sharing best practices with your colleagues. As a senior member of the team, you will mentor junior engineers and help foster a culture of learning and innovation within the Safety Engineering team.
