Newsela is seeking a Manager of Sales Development to lead and coach a team of Sales Development Representatives. You'll design and implement lead generation strategies to drive business growth in K-12 education. This role requires strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
You have a proven track record in sales management, ideally with experience in leading teams focused on sales development. Your ability to coach and develop talent is paramount, as you will be responsible for guiding a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to achieve their goals. You understand the K-12 education landscape and are passionate about transforming teaching and learning through innovative solutions. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including sales leaders and educational administrators. You are data-driven, continuously seeking ways to improve team performance and exceed territory goals. You thrive in a remote work environment and are adept at managing teams across different locations.
As the Manager of Sales Development at Newsela, you will lead the growth engine of our sales team by coaching and developing a team of SDRs. You will report to the Director of Transactional Sales and play a key role in designing and implementing lead generation strategies that resonate with District and School Administrators. Your work will directly contribute to the success of our sales initiatives and the overall mission of Newsela. You will continuously monitor and improve territory performance, identifying opportunities for growth and optimization. Collaborating across the Customer organization, you will align strategies and goals with sales leaders to enhance overall sales performance. You will also be responsible for developing training programs that empower your team to excel in their roles and achieve quarterly and annual metrics.
